These two are a funny pair who defy the odds.
Samovar was rejected as soon as he hatched by his mother. Luckily, we had a bantam hen who’d hatched some chicks the same day, so the breeder gave him to us. He was accepted by his foster mother, and grew up alongside her own three chicks. Lyle was one of them, and although they’re now grown up they are inseparable. Samovar is a Russian Orloff bantam and Lyle is an Old English game bantam you would expect them to fight normally, however these appear to be in love and get very distressed if they are separated!
