Starting today and then every Monday we will be bringing you Cock of the Week! Just a bit of fun to introduce our lovely residents. First up is gentle giant Elvis. Elvis is a large fowl Light Sussex boy. He came to us with his hatch mate Blue about 2 years ago. They were lucky because they came from a good home but their owners were unable to keep cockerels. Elvis suffered a back injury about 18 months ago when Blue decided he didn't want to live with him any more. After physio and a bit of tlc he recovered but he is permanently wobbly. He lives with Rose, our senior Old English Game hen and he is a very sweet gentleman. Due to his infirmities he will stay with us for the rest of his life 💜💜💜 ... See MoreSee Less

He also met lots of people (his favourite thing!) and was much admired #georgesbucketlist 💜 ... See MoreSee Less

George had the most fantastic time at Avebury National Trust today. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. He had a piece of flapjack in the cafe courtyard and met dozens of people who were all really keen to come and chat to him, give him a little stroke and take photos. He particularly enjoyed nibbling the hallowed turf around the famous stones! #georgesbucketlist ❤❤❤❤❤ ... See MoreSee Less
